Hand-Painted Day of the Dead Style Ceramic Calavera Skull - This decorative skull is a hand-painted piece of folk art, crafted from molded unglazed ceramic in the tradition of a Mexican calavera for the Day of the Dead. The object features a matte white ground embellished with vibrant hand-painted floral and geometric motifs in a palette of pink, blue, green, and black. The orbital cavities are ringed with pink scalloped borders and blue dots, while the nasal cavity is outlined in green. The mouth is detailed with blue-painted gums and white teeth. Additional ornamentation includes a blue heart on the forehead and black scrollwork throughout the cranium.
