Indonesian School, 20th Century, Moon Over Makassar, Sulawesi, Mixed Media on Paper - This mixed-media work on paper depicts a stylized coastal village scene in Makassar, Sulawesi, Indonesia. The composition features traditional stilt houses and outrigger boats situated along a shoreline under a large, circular moon. The artwork is executed in a graphic, illustrative style using a warm color palette of oranges, yellows, and dark browns. Decorative spiral motifs are visible on the sails of the central boat, and stylized birds are shown in flight across the sky. The work is presented in a terracotta-colored mat and is currently protected by a clear plastic wrap. The verso of the mounting board contains three typed labels.
