Gazelles in the Distance, Masai Mara Lioness Print - This chromogenic print (C-print) features a close-up portrait of a lioness resting in tall grass. The image was captured at the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, Africa. A gold-colored stylized artist monogram is present in the upper right corner of the print. The verso includes several identifying labels. One label is a Grand Rapids Camera Club entry form dated October 19, 1995, which attributes the work to photographer J. Ayotte and notes an award (H-13). Despite the subject being a lioness, the labels on the reverse provide the title Gazelles in the Distance. Another label states the art has been mounted with archival M.M.T. and can be heat released without damage. The photograph is double-matted in cream and brown and housed in a dark wood-toned frame. Frame: 25 x 28 inches The print is in good condition with no visible fading, foxing, or silvering. The frame shows minor shelf wear, including a small scuff on the bottom left corner.
