Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Sonar OneStep Instant Film SLR Camera - This is a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Sonar OneStep, a folding single lens reflex instant film camera manufactured in the United States. The camera features a chrome-finished plastic housing accented with black textured leatherette panels. It is equipped with an ultrasonic sonar autofocus system, identifiable by the gold-toned circular transducer housing on the front. The optical system consists of a 116mm f/8 glass lens with a bezel marked for manual distance settings at 1/2, 2, 3, 5, 8, 15, and infinity. The front panel is printed with POLAROID SX-70 LAND CAMERA and SONAR OneStep in white and red lettering. The back viewfinder panel contains printed operating instructions and the attribution MADE IN U.S.A. The interior film door also bears the model identification. The camera includes an integrated black woven neck strap and a tripod socket on the base. Length: 9 inches (folded) The camera is in fair to good vintage condition. The chrome-plated body exhibits visible surface scuffs and fine scratches consistent with age and use. The black textured panels show moderate wear with minor peeling observed at the edges. The sonar transducer grille has an accumulation of dust and debris. The lens optics appear clear upon visual inspection with no visible haze, fungus, or significant scratches. The collapsible folding mechanism is functional and locks into place securely, and the bellows appear intact without visible tears. The shutter function, sonar autofocus system, and internal electronics have not been tested with a live film pack and the item is sold as-is.
