R. Huber and Co. Mid-Century Modern Tufted Swivel Tub Chair - This mid-century modern swivel tub chair was produced by R. Huber and Co. (Canada) Ltd. in Downsview, Ontario. The chair features a circular, cocoon-like form with a deep-seated interior finished in a structured grid pattern of button tufting. It is upholstered in its original teal-colored woven textile. The seat is supported by a fabric-covered pedestal that flares into a circular wooden swivel base with a dark walnut finish. The construction includes a plywood subframe visible on the underside, secured with heavy-duty bolts for the swivel mechanism. No manufacturer labels or marks are present. The upholstery shows minor pilling and light surface wear consistent with age and use. The wooden swivel base has several small scuffs and areas of finish loss along the outer rim.
