Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic 39 Jewels Stainless Steel Wristwatch - A vintage Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic wristwatch featuring an automatic movement. The watch is constructed with a stainless steel case and a screw-down case back. The dial is a patinated champagne or silver-tone with applied baton hour markers and dauphine hands. Markings on the dial include Girard-Perregaux over GYROMATIC at the 12 o'clock position, 39 Jewels at the 6 o'clock position, and SWISS MADE at the bottom edge. The case back is incised with the words STAINLESS STEEL on the outer edge. The watch includes two worn spring bars, one of which is bent and shows heavy oxidation. No strap or bracelet is included. Case diameter: 34.5mm. The watch exhibits significant age-related wear throughout. The dial shows uniform pitting and darkening across the entire surface. The acrylic crystal is heavily scratched and contains several prominent cracks extending from the center toward the 4 and 5 o'clock positions. The stainless steel case shows numerous surface scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use, with visible accumulation of grime around the lugs and case back seal.
