Westinghouse Style No. 284032-A Electric Turnover Toaster
This is a Westinghouse Turnover Toaster manufactured by the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The appliance is constructed from nickel-plated steel and features a distinctive top plate with a six-petal floral cutout design. The turnover mechanism is operated by rotating side knobs, which allows bread to be flipped within the wire cages without manual contact. The unit is equipped with a black and red cloth-wrapped power cord featuring an inline Bakelite toggle switch and a vintage two-prong plug. The underside of the base contains a stamped identification plate with the following literal transcription: TURNOVER TOASTER, S-NO 284032-A, W logo, VOLTS 100-120, WATTS-550, WESTINGHOUSE E and M CO, EAST PITTSBURGH PA.
