This Universal drop-down electric toaster, model number 7812, was manufactured by Landers, Frary and Clark of New Britain, Connecticut. The appliance is constructed with a chrome-plated metal body featuring etched floral scrollwork on the top and side panels. It is designed with two hinged side-loading toast cages operated by four amber-colored composition knobs. A metal identification plate on the base specifies a power rating of 108-116 volts and 625 watts. The toaster is accompanied by a 6-foot braided fabric General Electric appliance cord set. This cord includes a black plastic plug with an integrated OFF/ON switch bearing the GE logo. The original blue and yellow paper sleeve remains on the cord, listing compatibility with GE model numbers GE1901, GE1924, GE1933, and GE1936.
