Papago Native American Coiled Basket Bowl - A Papago Native American coiled basket bowl. This piece is handwoven from natural plant fibers in a light tan and dark brown palette. The basket features a flared conical form with a flat base. The decoration consists of three concentric registers of dark brown rectangular blocks arranged in a staggered, radiating pattern. The tight coil construction is visible throughout the interior and exterior surfaces. Diameter: 12 inches Height: 6 inches The basket is in good overall condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. There is a small area of white residue on one of the dark blocks at the rim.
