Two Mid-20th-Century Automatic Pocket Lighters - Two vintage automatic pocket lighters of different manufacture and design. The first is a Ronson Standard model with a silver-tone metal case featuring an unengraved rectangular cartouche centered on the front. The second lighter is a Japanese-made Symbol brand model with a cream or pale yellow enameled body. Both examples employ a mechanical lift-arm ignition system. Height: 1.75 inches The Ronson lighter exhibits surface scratches, minor oxidation, and verdigris on the base. The Symbol lighter shows significant enamel chipping and loss to the decorative finish on both sides, along with wear to the metal trim. Both lighters show signs of use and age-related wear. Mechanical function is untested.
