Chinese Export Black Lacquer Plaque - This is an oval Chinese export wall plaque dating to the mid-to-late 20th century. The object is constructed from a black lacquered wood panel with a Chinoiserie scene rendered in relief. Length: approximately 12 inches Width: 8 inches. Good overall condition. The lacquer surface on the front displays fine age-related crazing and light surface scratches. The reverse shows light surface scuffing and minor spotting. The metal hanger exhibits minor oxidation consistent with age.
