1986-S Statue of Liberty Coins 26 Grams - This US Mint commemorative two-coin proof set was issued in 1986 to mark the centennial of the Statue of Liberty. The set contains one silver dollar and one copper-nickel clad half dollar, both struck at the San Francisco Mint as indicated by the S mint mark. The silver dollar is struck in .900 fine silver. Silver Dollar Weight: 26.73 grams Silver Dollar Diameter: 1.500 inches Half Dollar Weight: 11.34 grams Half Dollar Diameter: 1.205 inches. Both coins are in proof condition. Each specimen exhibits heavy, dark purple and multi-colored iridescent toning on both sides. The original presentation case and outer box are included and show minor shelf wear.
