Lalique France Crystal Caravelle Sailing Ship Paperweight - This Lalique crystal paperweight, identified as the Caravelle pattern, features a detailed three-masted sailing ship depicted in intaglio on the reverse of a clear, semi-circular crystal plaque. The frosted finish of the intaglio design creates a three-dimensional effect of a ship sailing on waves when viewed through the polished front surface. The plaque is joined to a solid cylindrical crystal base. The side of the base features an etched cursive signature reading Lalique France. The piece is constructed from lead crystal with a combination of clear polished and frosted surfaces. Height: 2 3/8 inches Width: 2 1/4 inches. The item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs visible. There is minimal shelf wear on the underside of the base consistent with age and handling.
