19th Century Neoclassical Frame - A decorative oval frame in the Neoclassical or Louis XVI revival style, featuring a core structure of segmented wood with applied composition ornamentation. Approximate outer width: 14 inches Estimated outer height: 18 - 20 inches. The composition material exhibits extensive age-related cracking and crazing across the entire surface. There are minor losses to the raised decorative elements and scattered chips to the gilding, primarily along the outer edges. The underlying wooden frame appears structurally stable. The reverse shows remnants of adhesive and old paper. Sold as a frame only; no mirror plate, glass, or backing is included.
