Charles Arnold Girl with a Flute - This modernist watercolor and graphite on paper by Charles E. Arnold depicts three reclining female nudes in a loosely rendered landscape. The figures are defined by soft, translucent washes and gestural graphite outlines that provide a sketch-like quality. The verso features a handwritten signature and an original typed gallery label identifying the work. 8 x 10 inches (frame). The wood frame exhibits minor scuffs and nicks along the top edge, and the green mat shows slight surface wear. The watercolor paper has light overall toning consistent with age.
