Three Rose O'Neill Kewpie Tobacco Flannels - This set of three printed cotton panels features Kewpie characters designed by Rose O'Neill. Each panel bears a 1914 copyright mark and depicts varied scenes, including a Kewpie marching with an American flag and another wearing a red tasseled cap. These textiles were originally distributed as tobacco product premiums and are finished with decorative geometric borders. The panels feature raw, frayed edges from being cut from a larger sheet. Visible age-related discoloration and brown spotting are present on the cream grounds, particularly at the upper margins. The printed colors show light fading consistent with the age of the material.
