Two English Transfer-Printed Earthenware Plates - These J. & G. Meakin and Adams earthenware plates feature multi-colored transfer-printed scenes. The Meakin Sunshine plate depicts characters from David Copperfield, while the octagonal Adams plate illustrates the New Mackrel scene from the Cries of London series. Both pieces include manufacturer backstamps and display detailed decorative borders. Both plates appear in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. Minor wear is present on the gold rim of the square plate, and both pieces show standard manufacturing stilt marks on the reverse.
