Pair of Brass Apothecary Door Knockers - This pair of cast brass door knockers is modeled after a traditional apothecary mortar and pestle. Each unit consists of a static vessel and pestle with a separate swinging bail handle and an antiqued finish. The lot is accompanied by four threaded mounting screws and three brass washers. Height: 6 inches Width: 4 inches. Both bookends exhibit moderate wear to the dark bronze-toned patina, particularly on the relief surfaces. Scattered surface scratches and minor oxidation are present on the cast elements. The rear steel support plates show areas of surface rust and discoloration, though the rivets remain secure.
