Model 1860 Staff and Field Officer's Sword. Marked, ”J. R. Parson, St. Louis, MO.” Etched blade decorated with eagle, U.S. flags, stars, etc. Decorative brass hilt/guard with whistle. White fish scale grip with brass wire wrap. Inscribed, ”U.S.” on blade. Blade: 29 1/2” long. Overall: 36” long. Overall with scabbard: 37 1/2” long. Condition- Brass has some gilt loss. Blade is in overall good condition with some wear. Grip is in good condition. Scabbard has some plating loss deterioration. See photos.
