US Civil War Epaulettes Surg. Charles H. Burbank - US Navy Civil War Shoulder Epaulettes Surgeon Charles H. Burbank. Fine set of epaulettes in the original tin storage box. Epaulettes have eagle buttons holding anchors, gilt brass fringe, and are marked, ”Right,” and, ”Left, Horstman Brothers & Allien, N.Y.” Comes with a note from formed owner Dr. Ronald Lytle Terhune of Arlington, Tennessee listing the appointments of Burbank. Measure approximately 7 1/4” long X 4 3/4” diameter. Tin box: 5 1/4” high X 9 3/4” long X 6 7/8” deep. Condition- The underside of the cloth shows some wear and light damage. Tin box has scratches, wear, paint loss, and minor surface rust. See photos.
