Title repaired with portion supplied in facsimile, initial several leaves marginally repaired with some loss, few leaves tipped in from a shorter copy, variously stained and wormed. Modern calf with clasps and hinges. Folio. Vinograd, Riva 10. Riva di Trento, (Antoni Bruin), 1559. Italian by birth, R. Ovadiah Bertinoro (second half 15th-century) was a student of the great Italian halachist R. Yoseph Colon (MaHaRI’K) and died in Jerusalem about 1500. His commentary first appeared in Venice in 1548-9 and due to its immense popularity, hardly an edition of the Mishnah appears without it.
