The very first book printed at Bass’ press in Dyhenfurth (today, Brzeg Dolny, Poland). Beith Shmuel became immediately popular. Almost all editions of Shulchan Aruch - Even Ha’ezer issued today contain this commentary.  The author (1645-1706) served as rabbi in Szydlow and Fuerth. He was the father-in-law of Chief Rabbi Aaron Hart of England.
