Based upon the order enumerated by the Sha’ch in his work Po’al Tzedek, with additional material including a section on the laws and customs in relation to dining. The Jerusalem born author (1779-1837) was killed when an earthquake hit Safed. According to Ya’ari (Safed no. 12) this was the last book printed prior to the earthquake, following which, printing was not resumed in Safed until 1863. Yisrael Bak moved his printing establishment south and successfully continued his operation now based in Jerusalem.
