(AMERICAN JUDAICA). An original Ribbon with gold pin and hangers from The Order Brith Abraham. With initials OBA within a Jewish star and wreath. Engarved: “District Deputy.” Length: 5.5 inches. 1859-1885. The Independent Order Brith Abraham, was a philanthropic society devoted to aiding major Jewish institutions as well as American agencies such as the Red Cross. With the goal of contributing to both American and Jewish ideals, OBA sought “Unity, Liberty, and Justice” in their endeavors.
