Finely framed. Laor, E. Maps of the Holy Land, no. 1040. [Cologne, 1575]. Superb bird's-eye view of contemporaneous Jerusalem seen from the east. At the top of the map is engraved (in Latin): ”This is Jerusalem. I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.” A most attractive example with fine hand-color of ”the most famous city of Judah and the East in her present size and greatness.”
