(Constantinople c. 1565) Yad Avshalom (see Book of Samuel II, 18:18) consists of essays connecting verses from different parts of Mishlei in order to develop various coherent ideas. The author titled and dedicated the work to his son-in-law Avshalom, who passed away just weeks following his marriage. R. Yitzchak Arama (c. 1420-94) served as rabbi in several Spanish communities prior to the Expulsion of 1492.
