Using the Yemenite ‘Minyan Shtaroth’ method of counting years, the scribe notes that this work took him seven years to copy, from 2239 to 2246 (1928-1935), as his demanding day job left him exhausted by nightfall. The same scribe had previously copied Mekor Haim by R. Yahya ibn Ya’akov Salah, finishing in 1934.
