He served as rabbi of Novhardok for more than 40 years during which time he was one of the arbitrators in the conflict between the Shapira brothers and the Romm family over the printing of the Slavita Shas. Teshuvah number 3 is by R. Dovidel Mirrer (R. Yosef Dovid Eisenstadt of Mir) - his only surviving Psak Halacha.
