Kuellner, 1720. The work provides reasons for Halacha, supplying a broad collection of relevant rabbinic opinions. Additionally, customs of the author’s teacher, the Maharsh’al, are recorded, with particular emphasis on the approach to Halacha taken by Polish Jewry.  Mateh Moshe was an immensely popular work and is cited countless times in later Halachic texts, such as Magen Avraham and Mishnah Berurah. The author, R. Moshe ben Avraham (c. 1550-1606), was rabbi in Belz, Przemysl and Opatow.
