Aleppo born R. Hayyim ben Abraham ha-Kohen (1585-1655) was a disciple of R. Chaim Vital in Damascus and a teacher of R. Nathan ben Moshe Hannover in Livorno.  The Chida was a huge admirer of R. Hayyim, even the illustrious Kabbalist R. Moshe Zacuto (Ramaz) consulted him on Kabbalistic matters.
