A PAIR OF PERSIAN SILVER SALT CELLARS BY MASTER JAAFAR, QAJAR, 19TH CENTURY - Each cylindrical salt cellar is finely hand-chased in high relief with alternating cartouches of courtly figures and birds among floral foliage, set against a textured ground. The lids are engraved with radiating foliate segments, while the feet are supported on three polished ball supports, with his hallmark visible to the base of each piece.  H: 4.5cm  Weight: 59g
