AN ILLUMINATED PRAYER SCROLL INSIADE AN ENGRAVED SILVER CASE, PERSIA QAJAR, 19TH CENTURY - The cylindrical case, fitted with suspension loops, is beautifully engraved with scrolling arabesques and bands of calligraphy in naskh and thuluth script, invoking Qur’anic verses and protective prayers.
