A POST-MEDIEVAL SILVER-TONED SQUARE SEAL MATRIX OR WEIGHT IN THE STYLE OF A JUDEAN FIRST REVOLT SHEKEL, 18TH-19TH CENTURY - A square silver-toned metal object, likely a seal matrix or standard weight, designed in the style of silver shekels issued during the First Jewish Revolt. The obverse features a central chalice motif flanked by two six-pointed stars and a cluster of pellets. It bears Paleo-Hebrew inscriptions corresponding to the words Shekel and Israel. The reverse consists of a raised diagonal saltire with circular bosses at the terminals and centre, featuring a prominent integral suspension or handle loop. The fields between the arms of the cross contain additional smaller pellets.  Seal: 2.5 x 2cm
