A ROMAN OVAL CARNELIAN INTAGLIO DEPICTING A VEILED CLASSICAL FIGURE, 1ST - 2ND CENTURY A.D. - The intaglio is engraved with a profile bust of a classical figure facing left, depicted wearing a diadem and a draped veil. A vertical attribute, possibly representing a sceptre, is visible to the right of the figure’s shoulder. The engraving demonstrates high detail in the rendering of facial features and the folds of the drapery, consistent with classical glyptic traditions.  L: 1.7cm
