A LARGE MESOPOTAMIAN STONE SPECTACLE IDOL, CIRCA 3000 B.C. - A carved stone idol featuring a distinctive spectacle eye motif. The piece is constructed with a truncated pyramidal base supporting a tapering neck and a head composed of two large, circular discs with central drilled apertures. The base is extensively decorated with incised geometric bands, including registers of chevrons, zigzags, and wavy lines.  L: 18cm
