With Selichot, ”Raza De'Shbbat”, Psalms, and the Passover Haggadah. Koretz, [1785]. Rareness: An extremely rare Siddur. There are almost no complete copies of it. This important edition has never been seen in auctions. Importance: Only single editions of the book 'Mishnat Hassidim' contain the prayers so that it constitutes an actual Siddur. These editions are extremely rare, all the more so, the edition before us which is the first of its kind being ”Hassidic”. Before us is the Siddur of the Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Menachem of [Apta] Zinkov, whose stamp appears on the handwritten title page. Rabbi Yitzchak Menachem (1837-1893), the son of Rabbi Meshulam Zussia of Zinkov the son of Rabbi Yiztchak meir of Zonkov the son of the rabbi author of ”Ohev Yisrael” of Apta. The son-in-law of Rabbi David Twersky of Tolna. On the margins of the leaves there are more than 10 long and interesting glosses in ancient script. The title page of the original Siddur was missing and instead a leaf was added with a version of the title page (which is completely different from the printed version) with decorations. The lower part of the title page is covered. On the leaves after the title page there are two handwritten prefaces to the book (in different scripts, maybe by different writers) as well as two indices. The first six leaves of the Siddur have also been completed by handwriting. From leaf six, the copy is complete till its end. 92, 160, [5], 162-163, 124-132 leaves. The first leaves are missing and have been completed in ancient script. Age of item: 234 years. Condition: Good. Typical wear of a Siddur: stains, wrinkels, single tears, sometimes with slight omission of text. A thick volume. Moth signs on the binding (which is not the original one). Simple restorations with scotch tape in several places.
