An extremely rare joint envelope of Rabbi Shmuel Selant and the Ha'aderet [Rabbi Eliyahu David Rabinowitz Teomim] who served together in the crown of the Ashkenazi rabbinate of Jerusalem - sent from the Jewish Quarter, the place of their apartment and rabbinate, an Ottoman postmark - with the word ”Jerusalem” in Hebrew - רקע האדר”ת הוזמן לירושלים לשמש כרב עדת האשכנזים פרושים, כבר בחיי רבי שמואל סלנט, על מנת לסייעו בימי זקנותו, ולשמש אחריו כרב העיר. לבסוף הוא נפטר לפני רבי שמואל סלנט. המעטפה שלפנינו עם הלוגו המשותף שמכתיר את שניהם כרבני העיר – נדירה ביותר. היא נשלחה מהרובע היהודי, מקום דירתם ורבנותם עם החותמת המיוחדת.
