The mooring of the Imperial ship Maria Theresa in Haifa, SMS Kaiserin und Königin Maria Theresia - it was not known until now about this, a postcard sent from the ship in Haifa with the ship's maritime postmark, October 6, 1912, - it was not known until now about this stamp in the Land of Israel!!! Explanation of the discovery: SMS Kaiserin und König Maria Theresia (”Empress and Queen Maria Theresa”) was an armored patrol ship used by the Austro-Hungarian Imperial Navy from 1895-1917; She was the first ship of this type built by the Austro-Hungarian Navy. The ship was of a unique design, built by the Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino shipyard in Trieste; She was launched in July 1891 and completed in November 1894. Armed with a main battery of two 24 cm (9.4 in) guns and eight 15 cm (5.9 in) guns. In 1913 it stopped being used as a warship. From various publications it appears that until October 1, 1912 the ship was in Beirut, and from October 8th it was in Alexandria.  Where has she been in the meantime? discovery! On October 6 she was in Haifa! The only postal item in the world from this ship in the Land of Israel!!! Good condition ”ברכות מחיפה Gruss aus Haifa”, איור צבעוני המראה את המפרץ ואת מושבה הגרמנית של הטמפלרים וכן את ”Restaurant Wagner”. נשלחה מחיפה לאוסטריה, בדאר ימי ב-6 לאוקטובר 1902 - חותמת הספינה הקיסרית והמלכה מריה תרזה. הסבר על התגלית SMS Kaiserin und König Maria Theresia (”הקיסרית והמלכה מריה תרזה”) הייתה ספינת סיור משוריינת ששימשה את הצי האוסטרו-הונגרי הקיסרי בין השנים 1895-1917; היא הייתה הספינה הראשונה מסוג זה שנבנתה על ידי הצי האוסטרו-הונגרי. הספינה הייתה בעיצוב ייחודי, שנבנתה על ידי מספנת Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino בטריאסטה; היא הושקה ביולי 1891 והושלמה בנובמבר 1894. חמושה בסוללה ראשית של שני תותחים של 24 סנטימטר (9.4 אינץ') ושמונה תותחים של 15 ס”מ (5.9 אינץ'). ב1913 הפסיקה לשמש כספינת מלחמה. מספרים ומפרסומים שונים עולה שעד1 באוקטובר 1912 הספינה הייתה בבירות, ומשמיני באוקטובר הייתה באלכסנדריה. היכן הייתה בינתיים? תגלית! ב6 באוקטובר הייתה בחיפה! דבר הדואר היחיד בעולם מספינה זו בארץ ישראל!!! מצב טוב
