Shaanbei Girl,by Liu Wenxi - Liu Wenxi (1933–2019), a native of Shengzhou, Zhejiang, was a leading master of Chinese figure painting, a representative of the ”Zhejiang School of Figure Painting,” and the founder of the Loess School of painting. He was renowned for portraying people from northern Shaanxi, with a bold and vigorous style rich in regional characteristics. His representative works include *Chairman Mao and the Shepherd* and *Four Generations Under One Roof*. He also created the portrait of Mao Zedong featured on the fifth series of the Renminbi and was awarded the China Art Award – Lifetime Achievement Award.
