Song Huizong's Painting of an Eagle - Song Huizong Zhao Ji (1082–1135), also known as Xuanhe Master, was the eighth emperor of the Song Dynasty and a renowned calligrapher and painter. Zhao Jie developed court painting, gathered a large number of painters, established the Xuanhe Painting Academy, and nurtured outstanding artists such as Wang Ximeng. The works he organized and compiled, including ”Xuanhe Calligraphy Collection,” ”Xuanhe Painting Compendium,” and ”Xuanhe Ancient Objects Illustration,” are invaluable historical resources in the study of art history. His self-created calligraphic style, known as ”Xiu Jin Ti,” is highly regarded in later generations.
