Qing Dynasty Jiaqing Period Coral-red Ground Gilt Interlocking Floral Pattern - Exquisitely potted with a robust and dignified square profile, this vase features a flared rim, a constricted neck, and a tapering body that rests upon a stepped base. The entire exterior is enveloped in a rich, vibrant coral-red enamel of remarkably even tone, serving as a luxurious backdrop for the elaborate gilt decoration. The decorative program is a tour de force of imperial craftsmanship, featuring dense, scrolling lotus blooms that meander gracefully across the surface. Centered on each side is a stylized 'Longevity' character (Shou) surmounted by a bat, forming a powerful rebus for ”Abundant Fortune and Longevity.” The interior and the base are applied with an opalescent turquoise glaze, creating a striking contrast with the exterior. The base is centered with a six-character Jiaqing seal mark in iron-red. This vase is a testament to the continued excellence of the Imperial kilns during the Jiaqing reign, inheriting the opulent aesthetic of the Qianlong era.
