Bidspirit auction | Song Dynasty, Qingliangsi Dulu Vase

Song Dynasty, Qingliangsi Dulu Vase - Flared rim, short neck, body swelling fully then tapering gently—form generously rounded, solid and serene in every curve. Deep jet-black glaze holds a brilliant sheen, swept freely with warm amber-brown hawksbill markings that flow and merge like molten sunlight on dark water. The patches gather and drift in perfect natural harmony, rich and luminous against the profound black ground, capturing the organic beauty of tortoiseshell glaze at its finest. The glaze thickens and thins with graceful variation; neatly trimmed foot reveals pale, fine porcelain body beneath. A masterwork of Song Qingliangsi kiln—simple, noble, and uniquely beautiful.
