Shang Dynasty, Bronze Fen-Dang Ding - Thick, broad rim supports two upright handles, bold and symmetrical. Below the rim runs a precise band of geometric pattern; the main body is cast in bold relief with symmetrical taotie beast masks—eyes prominent and commanding, scrollwork flowing and sharply defined, rich in depth and solemn authority. The body is formed with three lobed sections merging smoothly into three solid, cylindrical legs, sturdy and evenly spaced, grounding the vessel with perfect balance. The bronze surface bears a rich, aged patina of deep brown and verdigris, heavy in hand, commanding in presence—an embodiment of ancient grandeur and ritual dignity.
