Czechoslovakia Ducat 1933. NGC MS 63 - KM-8, Fr-2; Gold (.986), 3.491 g, 19.75 mm; Mintage: 57.597; Without serial numbers. A masterpiece of Art Deco numismatic design. The obverse features the half-length portrait of St. Wenceslas (Svatý Václav), the patron saint of Bohemia, in chainmail armor holding a banner and shield. The reverse displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Czechoslovakia—a lion rampant with the Slovak shield on its chest—surrounded by linden branches. This ”Without Serial Numbers” variety is the standard circulation-strike type of this celebrated series. Choice Mint State 63! This specimen is a lustrous survivor with a deep, rich gold honey-hue.
