A miniature masterpiece of 18th-century Indian gold coinage. The obverse depicts the Hindu god Shiva seated alongside his consort Parvati, both facing forward. The reverse features the Persian letter ”He” ($ح$), the initial of Haidar Ali, set against a granulated or ”dotted” background. A lovely Mint State example!
