A crisp, early-century bronze issue from one of Europe’s most historically significant ”free cities.” The obverse features the city’s coat of arms: two crosses surmounted by a crown, flanked by the date ”1923.” The reverse displays the large numeral ”1” and the legend ”Freie Stadt Danzig / Pfennig.” Choice Mint State 63! Graded by PCGS, this specimen remains in a remarkably preserved state for a base-metal coin over a century old.
