Ofek Eliya - ''Mazi Base'' 2016. Pencils, ink and marker on paper 10/15 cm signed Meet Ofek Eliya- Ofek, inspired by the sacred art of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, presents with a committee the dark side of the human condition, the same hidden side he crowns in gold. Ofek Eliya was born in 1997 and grew up in the village of Yona. Today he lives and works from the studio at his parents' house. Ofek's family is full of creativity and his warm and loving home radiates it to everyone. Alongside the connection to his true and authentic self on all sides, the pursuit of freedom and sincerity, lies the love of others and nature. Ofek creates from a young age, self-taught. Ofek's passion for art developed in the corridors of the hospital as a child and there he learned to channel his emotions and deal with different situations through his unique artistic language. In his works, Ofek attributes a status of holiness to his inner demons, he externalizes his dark feelings and puts them at the forefront of the stage, above all. The same emotions sometimes even go through an idealization that allows them a place as part of us, our character and what makes us up as a person. Horizon glorifies the idea in which even the emotions we tend to hide from ourselves and others deserve to have an equal place no less than the other components in our personality puzzle. Among other things, his works can be seen recurring motifs of opposites, sexuality, ideals and one recurring motif of a bee; A small, colorful, bright, pungent and sweet animal. The same animal that most of us try to get away from, even shy away from even though it is always around, buzzes in our ears just like the emotion that ignites an idea that does not leave you until it becomes reality.
