He studied painting with Rafi Lavie and the Avni Institute, and in 1967 he presented his first solo exhibition. From the beginning it was associated with the genre of ”material scarcity”. His paintings, which have always incorporated texts, also corresponded with his other pursuits as a writer, journalist, satirist, political activist and publicist, who quite a few times during his life provoked public outcry in light of his views and direct statements.
