Maayan began taking photos to express herself during difficult times: she built a small world for herself with the help of friends, family, maps on the walls and a small table lamp from IKEA. ”I loved that feeling of being like a conductor in an orchestra, building what I wanted to feel into a kicking visual piece.” Maayan uses light, shadow and color to attack emotions - '' When the light meter indicates normal exposure I know everything is fine.
