Doron Wolf - ”The Last Supper” 2012. Oil on framed canvas 100/80 cm signed Born in 1976 in Kibbutz Nahalal, he currently lives and works in Haifa. Wolf creates oil paintings on canvas. His works move along the border between hyper-realism and concepts and rely on classic themes in art history such as still life, portraits, and paintings of home scenes and living spaces (Interior), while interpreting our lives in the contemporary era. Wolf's works create artistic connections between high and low worlds and through these he tries to ask questions about origin and copy, while looking at the current way of life and through his private life. Through his works, he explores the role of the image in our contemporary world, flooded with visual images. Wolf holds a bachelor's degree from the Institute of Art at Oranim College and a master's degree in creative arts from the University of Haifa. Exhibits in museums and galleries in Israel and around the world. Teaches at Oranim College, Safed Academic College and Haifa Museum of Art.
